Over the last few years I have hosted a number of meetings on the contentious issue of local water quality and pollution. On the occasion of my first community meeting of the year, Dave Chambers, Chief Executive and Priyan Perera, Head of Strategy & Planning at Watercare will give their take on the state of water infrastructure. They will focus on the huge challenges that Auckland faces when it comes to having adequate infrastructure to cope with rapidly rising population growth. The pipes network is also in many places over 100 years old and needs to be replaced urgently.Local Councillor Desley Simpson and Margot Nicholson from Hapua Thrive will also give their perspectives from a local angle. When: Friday 1 March 10:30 – 11:30amWhere: St Marks Parish Centre, 95 Remuera Rd, Remuera |
