Sometimes it’s hard to find a quick and easy way to make a real difference. The good news is we have one way right now!
You can help by making a quick submission on the Council Budgets.
Few people think to submit on Council budgets, yet by making a quick submission the odds are a group of likeminded people will get their way and make the world a better place for now and for generations to come.
We know this because in our local area support for the Water Quality Targeted rate provided funds to investigate and reduce raw sewage going into Hobson Bay, as well as bringing forward work to be done in the Eastern Isthmus by FIVE YEARS !
Now that gain is at risk of being lost in these tight financial times.
So please let the Council know that we want to keep the following.
1.The Water Quality Targeted Rate .
2.The Natural Environment Targeted Rate
3.The Budgeted funds for essential services for infrastructure
and
4. Bring in The Climate Action Targeted Rate.
The great thing about targeted rates is that they are TAGGED FOR THEIR PURPOSES AND CAN’T BE SPENT ELSEWHERE !!

Please encourage your friends, whānau and children to submit – there is no age limit and you do not have to be a rate payer to submit
